Two worlds. Two extraordinary landscapes. One lifetime of curiosity, discovery, and imagination.
Andy Blass was born in Germany, where his childhood unfolded among the ancient forests, rolling mountains, and quiet villages of the Black Forest.
Long before he ever imagined becoming an author, he was already asking questions about life.
As a young boy, not even ten years old, Andy would sit high in the mountains, gazing down across the valleys, rooftops, and endless stretches of forest below. Surrounded by nature and silence, his imagination wandered far beyond the landscape in front of him.
What makes people happy? Why do we live the way we do? What lies beyond the places we know? And how much of the world do we truly understand?
Those early moments of solitude and curiosity would remain with him throughout his life.
Growing up around Reichenbach and Gengenbach, Andy developed an appreciation for nature, history, mystery, and the extraordinary stories that ordinary places can hold.
In 1997, at just 21 years old, he left Germany and began a new chapter in the United States.
Life brought new experiences, challenges, responsibilities, and opportunities. Over the years, he became a father of two, discovering that some of life's greatest lessons aren't found in classrooms or textbooks, but through raising children, making mistakes, overcoming obstacles, and learning to appreciate the moments that truly matter.
Eventually, his journey brought him to California's Mojave High Desert.
And something felt familiar.
The towering green forests of his childhood had been replaced by Joshua trees, enormous rock formations, distant mountain ranges, and endless desert skies. Yet beneath their differences, the two landscapes shared something remarkable.
Silence. Solitude. Mystery. And the freedom to think.
What began as an appreciation for the desert gradually became something more.
Through countless drives, walks, conversations, and explorations, Andy became fascinated by the High Desert's history, local legends, unusual landmarks, and the people whose lives have become part of its character.
The more he explored, the more stories began revealing themselves.
Those experiences inspired Mojave Crimson — Yucca Man: The First Visit, a suspenseful journey combining romance, mystery, ancient folklore, and real locations that readers can actually visit.
For Andy, storytelling shouldn't always end when the reader closes the book.

My Blueprint — Happiness From Within grew from a lifelong fascination with human behavior, health, happiness, personal choices, and the connections that shape our everyday lives.
Rather than offering another one-size-fits-all formula, Andy explores a simple but powerful question:
What if the happiness we're constantly searching for has been within us all along?
And then there's The Mojave Midget, a short, humorous archaeological mystery that proves even the most ridiculous misunderstandings can become extraordinary stories—especially when nobody will be around for another 500 years to prove them wrong.
